Список видов муравьёв Индии

В данный список включены все виды муравьёв Индии. В настоящее время здесь обнаружено 828 валидных видов и подвидов муравьёв из 100 рода. 256 видов это эндемики Индии (31%), а 24 вида - это интродуцированные виды, в том числе инвазивные (например, жёлтый сумасшедший муравей, Paratrechina longicornis, большеголовый муравей, огненный муравей). Наиболее богатая мирмекофауна отмечена в следующих подрегионах: 656 видов из 88 родов встречаются в Гималаях (север и северо-восток Индии), 455 видов из 75 родов обнаружено в горной цепи на западе Индостана, называемой Западные Гаты. Распределение по штатам: Западная Бенгалия (382 вида и 65 родов), Сикким (276 и 69), Керала (268 и 63), Химачал-Прадеш (259 и 63), Карнатака (257 и 61), Аруначал-Прадеш (255 и 61). Наибольшее видовое разнообразие отмечено в родах Camponotus (83 вида и подвида, или 10 % всей мирмекофауны), Polyrhachis (71), Pheidole (58), Tetramorium (42), Crematogaster (41), Leptogenys (34), Myrmica (33), Aenictus (32). Список состоит из биноменов (двухсловных названий, состоящих из сочетания имени рода и имени вида) и указанных рядом с ними имени учёного, впервые описавшего данный таксон, и года, в котором это произошло[1][2][3][4].
