Компиляция включает в себя 17 песен с официальных альбомов Смит (CD 1) плюс 13 неизданных композиций (альтернативные версии известных песен, концертные записи, демо-треки и прочее) на втором диске. «Land» оказался на 8-м месте в хит-параде «Best Box Sets & Compilations of 2002», опубликованном в Mojo Magazin.

Альбом посвящён памяти участника Patti Smith Group пианиста Ричарда Сола, скончавшегося в 1990 г. от сердечного приступа.
