Розмари́ Элле́н Гуи́ли (англ. Rosemary Ellen Guiley; родилась 8 июля 1950 года — умерла 18 июля 2019 года) — американский писатель, автор справочных и энциклопедических изданий по тематике духовности, оккультизма и паранормальных явлений[3]. Её работы переведены на 14 языков[4].

Биография

Писательская деятельность

Перу Гуили принадлежат книги «Атлас таинственного в Северной Америке», где представлены описаны места расположенные в США и Канаде с загадочными явлениями.[5], «Энциклопедия ведьм и колдовства»[5], «Энциклопедия ангелов»[6], а также «Харперская энциклопедия мистики и паранормальных явлений», где представлены темы связанные с духовностью, мифологией и Нью-эйджем.[7]

Общественная деятельность

Гуили является редактором-консультантом журнала Fate и постоянным гостем радио ток-шоу Coast to Coast AM. Кроме того она выступала телеканалах A&E, History Channel и Discovery Channel.[8] Она принимала участие в таких мероприятиях как International U.F.O Congress and Conference,[9] Vail Symposium,[10] and Michigan Paranormal Convention.[11]

Критика

Американский телевангелист Джон Анкенберг выступил с критикой понимания Гуили такого явления как интуиция, о которой она в своей «Харперской энциклопедии мистики и паранормальных явлений» писал, что «интуиция неизменно оказывается права». Анкенберг отмечал, что в таком случае отбрасываются рациональное мышление и духовная проницательность.[12] Кроме того он высказал мнение, что на примере «Энциклопедии ангелов» можно сделать вывод, что Гуили и другие писатели нью-эйдж пишущие литературу про ангелов невольно обращаются к падшим ангелам и демонам.[13] В книге Гуили «Ангелы милосердия» Анкенберг критикует её утверждение о том, что „ангелам“ стоит доверять безоговорочно, не опасаясь, что им могут притвориться демоны.[14]
