Ptomaphaginus (лат.) — род жуков подсемейства Cholevinae из семейства Лейодиды.

Распространение
Встречаются, главным образом, в Юго-Восточной Азии[1][2].
Описание
Мелкие жуки (длина от 2 до 10 мм) коричневого цвета. Форма тела овальная, с округлыми вершинами надкрылий. Передние ноги самцов с четырьмя расширенными протарсомерами, отличаются от Ptomaphaminus по вентральным шипам передних голеней (протибий), которые выровнены вдоль латерально-наружного ряда равных шипов, образуя второй, более широко расставленный ряд рядом с внешним, а также метавентральными швами, которые примерно параллельны оси тела. Кроме того, у самок гонококситы удлинены, тогда как у большинства Ptomaphaminus они уменьшены. Как и у других Ptomaphagini мезококсальные впадины разделены мезовентральным выступом и развит эпистомальный шов[1][2][3]. Большинство видов живут в пещерах или в почве, глаза рудиментарные или отсутствуют[4].
Систематика
Около 100 видов. Род был выделен в 1914 году французским энтомологом Гастоном Портевином (Gaston Portevin, 1869—1946). Включён в состав трибы Ptomaphagini (подсемейство Cholevinae, подтриба Ptomaphaginina), близок к родам Pandania, Proptomaphaginus и Ptomaphaminus[1][2]. В 2008 году найден новый вид в Юго-Восточной Азии[5]. В 2017 году найдены 2 вида в Японии[6], а в 2015 году — 12 новых видов в Китае[1]. Ископаемый вид †Ptomaphagus germari von Schlechtendal 1888 найден в балтийской янтаре (Россия)[7][8].
