Сет Чарльз Калихма́н (англ. Seth Charles Kalichman, род. 1961) — американский социальный психолог, специалист по профилактике и лечению ВИЧ / СПИД, исследователь ВИЧ-диссидентства.

Биография

В 1983 году получил бакалавра гуманитарных наук по психологии в Южно-Флоридском университете[1].

В 1990 году получил доктора философии по клинической/общественной психологии в Южно-Каролинском университете[1][2].

Профессор кафедры психологии Коннектикутского университета[1].

Руководитель Юго-Восточного проекта по исследованию и образованию в области ВИЧ/СПИД в Атланте и Кейптауне[1].

Главный редактор научного журнала AIDS and Behavior[1].

Разработчик шкалы сексуальной одержимости.

Калихман начал исследовать ВИЧ-диссидентов после прочтения работ Николи Наттрасс, в течение года проникая в их различные группы. Он утверждает, что отрицание часто является стратегией преодоления трудностей, и что последователи часто являются участниками антиправительственных движений и антиистеблишмента, и склонны к когнитивным искажениям; он утверждает, что для ВИЧ-диссидентов свойственно параноидное расстройство личности.
